Objective:
To transmit technical knowledge on break bulk and bulk cargo negotiations, providing supporting know-how for professionals of logistics and foreign trade companies to better perform and develop their activities.
Program:
1. Introduction
2. Definition of Chartering
3. Ship tonnages/dimensions (ship’s capacities);
4. “liner” and “tramp” services and their main aspects and differences;
5. Parties involved in a negotiation (Charterers, owners and etc.);
6. Most common terms and conditions for break bulk contracts;
7. Main points to consider before going to the market on negotiations;
8. Simulation of a negotiation: cargo offer request, firm offer, counter-offer, and subsequent stages, including booking recap;
9. Types of contract: “Gencon Charter Party” (analysis of main clauses, Voyage Charter Party, Time Charter Party and main obligation/rights of both sides)
10. Gencon contract and its related/supporting documents (MR’s, BL, SOF, etc.);
11. Laytime calculation: laytime calculation exercise.

First hand knowledge of port terminals and warehouses of which we can point out those in the cities of Rotterdam, Antwerp, Hamburg, Callao, Buenos Aires and Zarate. Experience in international negotiations involving sea freight quotations and cargo booking with the objective of obtaining optimal commercial and operational results. Experience in the elaboration of the terms and conditions (Charter Parties) related to maritime cargo transport. Participated in several congresses and symposiums in the Dry Cargo and Commodities segments. Acted as technical counselor for companies in Latin America. Presides over and administers in-company and open courses in maritime transport of general cargo for beginners or those who wish to up-grade their know-how in this segment or those who want to start up in the area. She also gives technical support and consulting in the area.
